The Client

Chilcott Turkeys is a local farming business supplying fresh turkeys for Christmas. With customers looking to place their orders ahead of the festive period, they needed a straightforward online presence that made it easy to find out more about their turkeys and order directly from the farm.

As a Dorset business, the website also provided Chilcott Turkeys with a professional online platform through which to reach local customers during their busiest time of year.

The Project

Alacrify designed and developed a new e-commerce website for Chilcott Turkeys, launching the site in October 2020 ahead of the Christmas ordering period.

The focus was on keeping the buying process simple. We created an easy-to-use shopping cart that allows customers to select and order their Christmas turkey online, with orders then available for collection from the farm shortly before Christmas.

Stripe was integrated as the website's payment provider, allowing customers to securely pay for their order online. The result was a straightforward e-commerce solution tailored around the way Chilcott Turkeys operates, rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

The new website gave Chilcott Turkeys a simple and effective way to take Christmas turkey orders online, making the process easier for both the business and its customers.

Orders began arriving soon after the website launched, providing the farm with an online sales platform ready for the busy Christmas period.
