New Website for Enable Support Services in Dorset
This week we launched a new website for Weymouth-based social care providers "Enable Support Services".
From the new www.essdorset.co.uk website:
"Our goal is to support our clients in improving their skills and confidence in living independent and happy lives. We work in partnership with our clients and strive to consistently provide a sensitive, flexible and professional response. We have recently obtained registration with the Care Quality Commission (www.cqc.org.uk) and so are now able to offer personal care as well as social support."
"Within our team, we have high levels of knowledge and experience in working with people with various social care needs - including mental health difficulties, learning disability and Asperger's Syndrome."
A Clear and Simple Approach
In order to make the site as clear and simple to use as possible we used a variety of complementary approaches.
- The design has good contrast, but low glare, making it easy on the eye.
- It has larger than average text for easy reading.
- Content is short and focused, using simple sentences.
- A simple colour scheme is used for the different areas of the site for clients, carers and professionals.
- We used Makaton symbols to highlight key client pages (circled in the image below).
Initial feedback about the site has been really positive. We wish ESSDorset well as they continue to grow and develop over the coming months.
