Bridport Open Studios Website Live
Today the website we created for Bridport Open Studios had the final pieces of the jigsaw added to it before the big event this coming weekend! This is a major achievement for us and ArtSeeker who have collaborated together to create this website. Featuring over 120 artists from in and around Bridport, the open studios is an annual event over the August Bank Holiday in which artists open up their studios to the public for a brilliant exhibition of their work.
The event and website is featured on the Dorset pages of the BBC today as a recommended bank holiday activity.
This is the 5th Year that we've developed a site for Bridport Open Studios and each time we've tried to improve and extend the quality of the site and the services we've offered. This year is no exception.
The website is now built using a new events promotion system developed for ArtSeeker. It combines facilities for Organisers to manage their events and tools for event participants to use to maintain their information. The result is a site that can provide lots of marketing and advertising opportunities for the organisers, plus ways for them to keep in touch with their participants. It also gives each participant the chance to build their own "mini-website" with a gallery, news, events and other information that they can maintain themselves.
The site has reached the end of the first phase of development and we're now working to complete the organiser-maintenance and member-maintenance areas. ArtSeeker will then be running a number of training sessions to show the organisers and members how to get the most out of the site over the coming year.
