Search Engine Optimisation Tester :: User Notes

This is a custom built tester for SEO. It has no direct correlation to Google Page Rank or other SEO metrics. It's just a number we've dreamt up that shows the relative value of different changes you could make to aspects of SEO. The top score is 100 and lowest score is 0.

It's designed to allow you to see the impact of making changes to your site so you can see how much additional value you can gain from paying more attention to the SEO on your site.

The formula we've applied is based on our experience of creating and maintaining sites of all shapes and sizes over the past 15 years; from 1 page sites to 1,000,000+ page sites in all market sectors.

The key missing dimension to this report is COMPETITION. There is no method for calculating your relative performance against your competitors. This is a separate analysis and beyond the scope of this simple SEO tester.

We hope you find it useful for seeing the importance of hitting all the SEO targets in creating a high performing website, and identifying things you may be able to do to improve your website.
