I was developing a function on the ACAT website today to add Training Course Handbooks to the database using the fabulous Editize applet from Sitepoint.
I realised after a short period of testing the the information was being truncated after a dozen or so pages of text. It took me a little while to track the cause down. In the end I realised [thanks to Simon Willson's Weblog] that I was saving the record to a TEXT field on the mysql database which should have been changed to a LONGTEXT field to accommodate the large documents I was working with. As soon as I changed it over it all worked a treat. Another case of problem-solved thanks to the generosity of fellow designers. Thanks Simon!
