Reflections on Using Google AdWords
I've just written a brief introduction and description of our experience of using Google Adwords and added it to our site.
We've been using both Google AdWords and Google AdSense on several projects over the past few years and it seemed a good time to distill the insights and understanding we've gained through using them.
- AdWords is the bit where you pay Google to display your ads.
- AdSense is the bit where Google pays you to display their ads.
As with all Google offerings they are both deceptively simple to use, and exceptionally tricky to master. Both require ongoing work to optimise their use and monitor their performance and to make sure that they are giving you what you need.
