Broadoak Flyers have Flown :: 1950''s Life in Colour

The Broadoak County Fair flyers are now with the printers and we are looking forward to seeing them within the next few days.

Over the past couple of days the focus has been on the Dorset County Museum, and especially on the advertising for the new Jurassic Coast Gallery that is opening soon. We've also been working hard to get a new booklet together which will accompany an exhibition of Dorset Feather Stitchery at the Museum.

The preliminary design has been submitted and we are now working on the revisions and changes that have arisen from looking at the design in its entirety. It's a fascinating project to work on as the subject of the exhibition (Olivia Pass and Dorset Feather Stitchery) is as much about 1950's design as it is about social history.

There's great scope for using motifs from the period, and the resulting design potential for the booklet as a fusion of retro and modern is really stimulating.
