Actinic - E-Commerce

Last week we were commissioned to develop a new Actinic Catalog installation for John Gerard Wines.

This will allow the Cattistock-based wine merchants to sell wines directly from their website across the UK. We`re currently building the interface around the existing site design and writing a task list for the information that will be needed in order for the site to be really content rich and helpful to the buying public.

The challenge of integrating Actinic with the existing site is an interesting one with several issues that take time to puzzle out. A major headache is the interplay between the inbuilt Actinic style sheets and those already used in the site. Conflicts are inevitable and compromises in the code have to be considered. We`re also going to be developing new hover buttons to replace the inbuilt Actinic offerings.

We have a tight deadline and will be working flat-out to prepare the site in time for the launch deadlines we`ve been given ... pass me that midnight oil someone ...
