Microsite Websites for Niche Marketing
I think most people have probably heard about the "long tail" in web marketing, and how good the internet is at putting niche customers in touch with niche suppliers. Well one way of achieving this is to develop "microsites" to promote a brand or particular aspect of a business.
This week we did just that for Seven Springs Studios, a commercial photography studio in Dorchester, Dorset. They have had many years of experience in product or "packshot" photography and wanted to draw attention to this aspect of their work. So we developed a new concept pack shot photography website, highly search engine optimised on the terms that relate to this type of photography.
The new site was launched earlier this week. You can take a look at it here:
www.pack-shot-photography.co.uk
The goal of a micro site is to provide a highly targeted website for the search engines to index; distilling all the keywords and phrases that relate to the topic into a series of highly specialised pages that are utterly on-topic. Combined with traditional SEO techniques the site then finds its way on Google to the sort of customer who is looking for your specific service or product.
The site has now been listed with Google. I'll keep you posted on how it goes. Do get in touch if you'd like us to help you develop a microsite for your business: jon@alacrify.co.uk
